In
the Name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.
It is never too late to turn ourselves to Allah to worship Him alone
only upon repentance and seek His pleasure and remember Him as Allah
says in surah Al-Baqarah V2:152 - "Therefore remember Me (by
praying, glorifying). I will remember you, and be grateful to Me (for
My countless Favour on you) and never be ungrateful to me".
Surah Al-Ahzab V33:41-44 - O you who believe! Remember Allah with much
remembrance. And glorify His
Praises morning and afternoon [the early morning (Fajr)
and 'Asr prayers]. He it is who sends Salat (His blessings) on you,
and His angels too
(ask Allah to bless and forgive you), that may bring you out from
darkness (of disbelief and polytheism) into light (of Belief and
Islamic Monotheism). And He is ever Most Merciful to the believers.
Their greetings on the Day they shall meet Him will be "Salam: Peace
(i.e. the angels will say to them Salamun 'alaikum)!" And He has
prepared for them a generous reward (i.e. Paradise). and follow His
Messenger (SWS) only and accept the teaching of
Prophet Muhammad (SWS), He (SWS) is only our teacher/Imam and
Messenger (SWS) and absolutely none as Allah says in Surahtul Al-Imran
at V3:31 - Say (O Muhammad (SWS) to mankind): "If you (really)
love Allah then follow me (i.e. accept Islamic Monotheism, follow the
Qur'an and the Sunnah), Allah will love you and forgive you of your
sins. And Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful."
Surah An-Nisa V4:13-14 - These
are the limits (set by Allah (or ordainments as regards laws of
inheritance), and whosever obeys Allah and His Messenger (SWS)) will
be admitted to gardens under rivers flow(in paradise), to abide
therein, and that will be the great success. And whosever disobeys
Allah and His Messenger(SWS)), and transgress His limits, He will cast
him into the fire, to abide therein; and he shall have a disgraceful
torment. Surah Al-Ahzab V33:29 - " But if you desire Allah and His
Messenger(SWS), and the home of the Hereafter, then verily, Allah has
prepared for Al-Muhsinat (good-doers) amongst you an enormous reward."
and V33:40 - Muhammad (SWS) is not the father of any of your men, but
he is the Messenger of Allah and the last (end) of Prophets. And Allah
is Ever All-Aware of everything.
Surah Al-Hashr V59:7 - What
Allah gave as booty (Fai') to His Messenger (SWS) from people of the
townships - it is for Allah, His Messenger (SWS), the kindred (of
Messenger Muhammad (SWS), the orphans, Al-Masakin (the poor), and the
wayfarer, in order that it may not become a fortune used by the rich
among you, And whatsoever the Messenger (Muhammad (SWS)) gives
you, take it, and whatsoever he forbids you, abstain (from it).
And fear Allah, verily, Allah is Severe in punishment.
Allah is testing us as He is testing me and my family and each of you,
As Allah says in Surah Baqarah Chapter 2:155..And certainly, We shall
test you with something of fear,
hunger, loss of wealth, lives and fruits, but give glad tiding to As-Sabirin
(the patient)
as Allah says in Surah Baqarah Chapter 2:45... Seek help in patience
and as-Salat (the prayer) and truly, it is extremely heavy and hard
except for Al-Khashi'un [ i.e. the true
believers in Allah - those who obey Allah with full submission, fear
much from his
punishment, and believe in His
promise(Paradise) and in His Warnings (Hell) also Allah says in Surah
Baqarah Chapter 2:153...."O you who believe! Seek help in patience and
As-Salat (the prayer). Truly, Allah is with As-Sabirin(the patient).
The Messenger (SWS) said Patience is Virtue.
Allah has mentioned Patience in the Qur'an in ninety places. Even
Allah Karim mentions patience before salaah (prayer).
As Allah says:40:39... Truly,
the life of this world is nothing but a (quick passing)
enjoyment, and verily, the
Hereafter that is the the home that will remain forever.
And also Allah Karim forbids us to long for what he has bestowed on
others, as Allah says: 20:131... And strain not your eyes in longing
for the things We have given for enjoyment to various groups of them
(polytheists and disbelievers in the oneness of Allah, the splendor
of the life of this world, that may test them thereby...and there are
many Qur'anic Verses which disperse the life of this world and invite
mankind to exploit their sincere efforts for the Hereafter,
billions/trillions times better than similitude of this life that
cannot be compared.
Allah says about death in Qur'an:
Surah al-Imran - V3:145 [And no person can ever die except by Allah's
Leave and at an appointed term. And whoever desires a reward in this
world, We shall give him of it; and whoever desires a reward in the
Hereafter,We shall give him thereof. We shall reward the grateful.]
and V3:185 [Everyone shall taste death. And on the Day of
Resurrection shall you be paid your wages in full. And whoever is
removed away from the Fire and admitted to Paradise, he indeed is
successful. The life of this world is only the enjoyment of deception
(a deceiving thing) Surah An-Nisa' V4:78 - "Whosever you
may be, death will overtake you even if you are in fortresses built up
strong and high!" And if some good reaches them they say, "This is
from Allah."but if some evil befalls them, they say, "This is from you
(O Muhammad (SWS)), say: "All things are from Allah," so what is wrong
with this people that they fail to understand any word?
Surah Al-An'am V6:36 - It is only those who listen(to the Message of
Prophet
Muhammad (SWS) will repond (benefit from it), but as for the dead
(disbelievers), Allah will raise them up, then to Him they will be
returned (for their recompense).
Surah Al-Jumu'ah V62:6-8 - Say (O Muhammad(SWS)): "O you Jews! If you
pretend that you are friends of Allah,to the exclusion of (all) other
mankind, then long for death if you are truthful". But they will never
long for it(death), because of what (deeds) their hands have sent
before them! and Allah knows well the Zalimun (polytheists,
wrongdoers, disbelievers). say (to them): "Verily, the death from which
you flee will surely, meet you, then you will be sent back to (Allah),
the All-Knower of the unseen and the seen, and He will tell you what
you used to do."
Allah has indicated about death 200 times in Qur'an) and as our
Messenger (SWS) said and Urged the Muslims to prepare for death and to
take provisions for the Hereafter, He (SWS) said:" Be in this world
like a stranger, or a wayfarer". Narrated by Bukhari.
Also Messenger(SWS) said: "My similitude and that of the life of this
world is that of a traveler who took a rest at mid-day under a shade
of a tree and then left again". Narrated by Ahmed, At Tirmidhi Ibn
Majah and Al-Hakim.
A Wiseman said: Whoever alleges that he hates the life of this world
is a liar until he proves truthful and he proves so, then he is a mad
man. The one who follows the pleasures of this life can never hate it,
and the one who seeks the Hereafter does not hate this life because it
is the place of work and the farm that is cultivate here but harvested
in the Hereafter.
Again another wise man said: How can he feel happy the one whose day
demolished his month (gradually) and whose month demolishes his year
and whose year demolishes his life span. How can he feel happy the one
whose life-span leads to death.
The believer's resolution is attached to the Hereafter and everything
in the life of this world reminds him therewith.
Abdullah Ibn Masud (PBUH) said: "O people! You are in the passage of
day and night. Your life span is decreasing. Your deeds are kept and
death comes suddenly (Qur'an 31:34). Everyone will harvest what he has
sown. A
covetous man cannot get what Allah Ghani has not predestined for him.
Whoever is given good that is from Allah Karim, and
whoever is saved
against
evil, then Allah Karim is the Protector. The pious people are masters,
jurists are leaders and being in the company of such people is a
benefit.
This does not mean that man should absolutely abandon working for his
sustenance, but that the pleasures of this life should not be his main
objective and purpose. Islam urges man to work and considers that a
holy
activity if
the intention is sincere and the person is loyal, more importantly, to
earn
Allah's pleasure only and be moderate and balance.
Again Abdullah Ibn Masud (PBUH) said: Whoever seeks the life of this
world damages his rewards in the Hereafter, and whoever seeks rewards
in the
Hereafter, damages the pleasures of this life. You should therefore
damage
this transient life for the sake of the permanent one.
Allah Karim has made patience the means for attaining His love, His
companionship, His help and support, and His good rewards (Paradise).
This
is sufficient honour and blessings, true success, and this is how
Allah\
Karim will measure of the true success, not by the people of this
mundane.
I close with the excellent Vesre for you, Allah says: 18:45 (Surah
Kalf)... And put forward to them the example of the life of this
world: it
is like the water (rain) which We send down from the sky, and the
vegetation
of the earth mingles with it, and becomes fresh and green. But (later)
it
becomes dry and broken pieces, which the winds scatter. And Allah is
able to
do everything.
My Saying: You only fail, when you stop trying.
May Allah have mercy on us, forgive us, guide us with correct Islamic
Knowledge, and help us to do good deeds sincerely with full and
complete
submission, according to
"Qur'an" and "Sunnah" only, and let us die in
a
State of Islam. Ameen!
May Allah accept this service/work of mine for His pleasure only and
for the
benefit of all Muslims. Allah knows best.
Jazak-Allah Khairan.
